SHOW JUMPING | KANGAROO VALLEY NSW

My name is Aria baker and I have grown up on the South Coast of NSW. I have competed horses my whole life and fell in love with Showjumping at the age of 7. Since then I have competed across Australia and have also trained and competed overseas in 2018. I am currently competing in the Junior series on an off the track thoroughbred gelding, “That’s Limo”, who is my main competition horse. I also have a 4y/o off the track thoroughbred mare, “Solloway”, which I am currently training and beginning to compete.

HIGHLIGHTS

4th in the Australian Junior Championships 2021
2018 I went to the Netherlands where I trained for a week with top level riders and coaches (such as Albert Voorn) and competed in a competition at the completion of the week. We also were able to watch some top class showjumping.
Competing at Sydney Royal juniors 2022 (placed 5th)
6th in the 2019 Australian Children’s Championship
Being apart of the Junior NSW team at the 2021 Australian Showjumping Championship and placing 2nd.

WHAT DO YOU LIKE MOST ABOUT YOUR EQUISSAGE?

I love how it makes the horses feel. My older horse who is now 15 has been feeling like he has so much more power behind his jump and is using his neck and backend more over the fence. It helps bring the best out of my horses by ensuring they feel 100%.

WHAT DO YOU FEEL MAKES YOU AN ELITE ATHLETE WITHIN YOUR CHOSEN DISCIPLINE?

Dedication to the sport and having a strong support network including coaches, mentors, sponsors, and supportive parents. I have always had a competitive nature since birth, constantly striving for perfection, which has allowed me to develop as a rider and continue to improve. As I myself do not come from a horsey background, I have always had to work for any opportunities that may arise, this includes working as a groom for my coach in order to catch a lift to outer state horse events from the age of 14, many of which my parents did not attend, allowing me to learn how to become independent and hardworking. I have always loved the equestrian world of showjumping and can never imagine my life any different. I hope to continue my career in the future to become one of the best.

WHAT WILL YOU BRING TO TEAM EQUISSAGE?

As I have seen a dramatic difference in my horses since using Equissage, I cant wait to spread my experience with the brand to fellow riders, as I hope that they too become Equissage users so they can feel the incredible difference it makes to the horses.
